Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a minimum of 5 years in backend development. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our cloud and alarm infrastructure, primarily utilizing AWS services, Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL databases. Your expertise in IoT communication and TCP-based protocols will be essential for creating efficient and reliable systems. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript within AWS environments.
• Utilize AWS services to architect and implement effective cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate closely with vendors and manufacturers to integrate various alarm devices, ensuring reliable communication and alarm transmission.
• Process and transmit critical alarm data, including device and health parameters, from multiple IoT devices to enhance elderly care.
• Work with the team to develop and refine our TCP-based IoT protocol, as well as other relevant protocols for integration.
• Ensure secure data transfer by implementing VPN and encrypted traffic solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues 
• Engage in code reviews and foster a culture of best practices in software development.
• Stay informed about advancements in AI technologies and explore their application to enhance predictive care features in our alarm systems.

Who are you and what are your qualifications? 

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.
• Solid experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on AWS solutions and IoT.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, along with experience in AWS architectures.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and a background in database design and optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
