DBtune is an innovative AI startup based in the vibrant Malmö area, a short train ride away from Copenhagen, Denmark, and Lund and Helsingborg, Sweden. DBtune's core technology is a fully automated service designed to optimize databases. Job Overview

DBtune is seeking exceptional talent to join our team as a Front-End Engineer. The ideal candidate has proven experience in front-end development and a keen eye for detail. As a Front-End Engineer at DBtune, you will play a crucial role in transforming our ML engine into a scalable and robust SaaS solution. You will work closely with our existing development team, be responsible for developing various aspects of our products, and take ownership of the features you develop.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the software infrastructure of the DBtune product in collaboration with the development team.
• Contribute to the development of tailored solutions for database optimization.
• Apply critical thinking in feature development and the product roadmap.
• Translate Figma designs into working prototypes with high fidelity.
• Set up and run mock servers to simulate back-end responses and avoid bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of front-end development experience.
• Strong software architecture skills.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Experience with GraphQL for API interactions.
• Hands-on experience with Storybook for component testing.
• Ability to set up and run mock servers.
• Expertise in E2E testing with Playwright or Cypress.
• Attention to detail in translating designs and implementing features.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.

Additional Merits

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
• Some knowledge of UX design and website design principles.
• Previous experience in startups or other fast-paced environments.

Location

We offer a hybrid work environment that combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-person collaboration. Applicants are required to be in the office at least 2 days per week to foster team synergy and effective communication. We will not be able to support work permit applications. DBtune offers flexibility with a 2-day-a-week in-office policy.
