Your role

In the role as the ILS Technical Information & Training Manager for Submarines you will lead a talented team of writing and project engineers. Your team members are working in different projects.

The main deliverables from the team into the projects are:

• Technical publications for the submarines, eg. Manuals, instructions, schematics.
• Training material and execution of training courses for the submarine crew.

We work with XML in Uptime4 and you should know some form of XML and have knowledge of S1000D to succeed with the job.

Your mission is to deliver excellent publication results and high-quality courses to our customers, supporting the team working in different development phases, and securing customer satisfaction. As a driven people leader, you are responsible for managing, coaching and coordinating your team of high performing individuals.

In this role you will act strategically, focusing on the long-term development of ILS/IPS within the area, with processes, methods and tools and customer quality. In your daily work you will secure resources and keep track of the status and planning of the different ongoing projects.

ILS Submarine Management, where Technical Information & Training is a subarea, ensures that the vessel's various systems and components function well, that they are easy to maintain, that spare parts, tools and documentation are available and last but not least that the crew has the right training.

You will be a part of the Specialty Engineering Management team, Design Department of BU Submarine. We have our operations in both Malmö and Karlskrona. Our Malmö offices will relocate to Lund during Q4 2025.

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader driven in technology and with a genuine interest in people development. You should have proven success of leading and developing teams of high performing individuals with an engineering background. You are aware in your leadership of diversity and inclusion and have motivational skills and being a role model for your team.

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent
• More than five years in people leaderships roles
• Experience of leading and developing people with engineering background
• More than three years of experience in one of the following areas: Technical Information, Logistics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Development Engineering
• Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English
• XML, Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat Pro * Creo Illustrate * Advanced level in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• ASD standards and specifications, NATO ILS
• Added value if you have a military background or have completed military service

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
