We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about infrastructure who enjoys collaborating with diverse teams and is eager to contribute to a fast-growing, innovative company in the telecom industry. About the job

As a Systems Engineer at Telavox, you will be a vital part of our infrastructure team, responsible for transforming abstract requirements into robust, automated solutions using modern DevOps practices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality infrastructure solutions that support our global communication services.

A typical day in this role involves

• Improving scalability, security, and accessibility of our platform, focusing on virtualization, container environments, storage, and automation.

• Building and improving developer-facing APIs for on-prem hardware resources to enhance self-sufficiency for application teams.

• Developing and refining monitoring and tooling to ensure high reliability and efficient maintenance.

• Collecting requirements and feedback from colleagues across teams to build the best possible solutions.

• Identifying challenges and proposing strategic solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.

This role is based in our Malmö office, where you’ll join a collaborative work environment with opportunities to influence our infrastructure engineering practices.

About you

To thrive in our team, we value your 5+ years of experience in a similar role with experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud-native technologies, and automation. You thrive in a technical role, have a strong grasp of infrastructure principles, and are dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

Competencies

• Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, on-prem Ceph, container technologies, and virtualization

• Proficiency in compute, storage, and networking intricacies

• Understanding of cloud-native architecture concepts such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and observability

• Strong background in software development and automation

• Passion for learning, sharing, and engaging in insightful discussions

Good-to-have skills:

• Experience in telecom or voice streaming is a plus

• Relevant certifications in cloud or infrastructure technologies are a plus, but not mandatory

• Experience setting up and managing on-prem Kubernetes clusters
